Mama Tried 2026 Recap

The smoke has finally cleared, the ringing in our ears is fading to a dull hum, and our Vans still smell faintly of burnt rubber, cheap soda, and sloshed beer.

Another wild winter weekend in Milwaukee is officially in the books. 

From the chaotic, syrup-slicked concrete lanes of Fiserv Forum to the jaw-dropping custom builds glowing under the purple lights of the Eagles Ballroom, this year’s show was an absolute sensory overload.

Whether you were trackside cheering or couldn't make the trip up north to break your winter cabin fever, here is exactly what went down at the wildest motorcycle weekend of the year.

The weekend kicked off in proper Milwaukee fashion on Friday night with Flat Out Friday. Over 7,000 screaming fans packed into the stadium to watch everyday riders, vintage speed demons, and absolute goofballs trade paint on a polished concrete track.

The racing was fast, the crashes were spectacular, and the energy was unmatched. It set the perfect, chaotic tone for the rest of the weekend.

And, in case you missed it, Jeff G. Holt of V-Twin Visionary, raised half of his $10,000 goal for PSA Project USA with an epic trim of half of his beard. PSA Project USA is a non-profit started to bring awareness to the screening resources available that check for colon cancer.

On Saturday and Sunday, the party shifted to the historic, 99-year-old Eagles Ballroom at The Rave. Unlike standard open-registration bike shows, Mama Tried is a strictly curated invitational. The organizers hand-pick every machine, resulting in a concentrated lineup of pure artistic genius.

Walking onto the ballroom floor felt like entering a church of iron and chrome. Over 200 elite custom builds were on display, featuring:

Surrounding the sea of iron, over 70 artisan vendor booths were slinging everything from handmade leatherwork and custom garage parts to live flash tattoos and underground lifestyle apparel.

Mama Tried 2026 reminded us exactly why we fall in love with two wheels: the community, the dedication to fabrication, and the shared passion of the ride. Big congratulations to everyone who took home trophies and we hope to see you all next year!
