Smoky Mountain Small Bore Rally 2026: Three Days of Epic Roads, Mini Bikes & Unforgettable Memories

Every year, riders from across the country pack up their mini motos and head to the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains for one reason—to experience one of the biggest and most exciting small-bore motorcycle events in the United States.

The 2026 Smoky Mountain Small Bore Rally (SMSBR) did not disappoint.

From June 11–13, riders filled the streets of Maryville, Tennessee, with Honda Groms, Honda Monkeys, Kawasaki Z125s, Trail 125s, scooters, and custom small-bore builds of every style imaginable. Whether you came for the scenic mountain rides, the bike show, the stunt lot, or simply to meet fellow riders, the rally delivered another unforgettable weekend.

Riding the Smokies

One of the biggest draws of SMSBR is the incredible riding. East Tennessee offers some of the most beautiful roads in the country, with winding mountain curves, sweeping overlooks, and endless miles of pavement perfect for small-displacement motorcycles.

Throughout the weekend, organized group rides took participants through the scenic foothills of the Smoky Mountains, proving once again that you don't need a 1,000cc superbike to have an incredible adventure.

Sometimes the smallest bikes create the biggest memories.

The Mini Moto Community

What truly makes this rally special isn't just the motorcycles—it's the people.

New riders, seasoned veterans, families, and friends gathered from all over the country to celebrate the mini moto lifestyle. Parking lots quickly turned into meetups where riders shared modifications, swapped stories, admired custom builds, and welcomed newcomers into the community.

The atmosphere remained relaxed, inclusive, and full of positive energy all weekend long.

Bike Show & Custom Builds

The bike show once again showcased the creativity of the small-bore community.

From stretched Groms and slammed Monkeys to custom-painted Z125s, vintage-inspired builds, stunt setups, and adventure-ready Trail 125s, every bike reflected its owner's personality and passion. With Chris Zacharias' blue-chromed, swapped engine build taking home Best in Show, it was one for the books!

Games, Challenges & Entertainment

SMSBR isn't just about riding.

The weekend featured rider games, slow races, scavenger hunts, poker runs, vendor giveaways, and stunt demonstrations that kept everyone entertained between rides. Vendors displayed the latest aftermarket parts, riding gear, accessories, and apparel while local food vendors kept riders fueled throughout the event. Smokey Dawggs was a huge hit with their custom Dragon Dog.

Whether you were competing or cheering from the sidelines, there was never a dull moment.

First time, but not our Last

Events like the Smoky Mountain Small Bore Rally remind us why the motorcycle community is so special.

It's not about horsepower. It's about friendships, exploring new roads, helping the rider beside you, and creating memories that last long after the weekend ends.

Watching hundreds of small bikes carve through the mountains together is something every rider should experience at least once in their lifetime. This was our first time ripping around with so many other small bore bikes, but definitely not our last.
